What is MIM?

Through music, movement, and education, MIM helps you uncover your innate rhythm and supports you to connect to the present moment and release stress.
We immerse you in a variety of electronic music genres, emphasising percussion, BPM (beats per minute) and innovative song structures. From House and Garage, to Afrobeats and Drum & Bass, our focus is on the drum. You’ll be taken on a diverse musical journey.
Using science-backed education, we apply music and rhythm to the body, providing effective stress relief and practical tools for life, applicable anytime, anywhere.

How does it work?

rhythm

The human body is naturally rhythmic, from our heartbeat and breathing to hormone cycles. Stress can disrupt this natural rhythm, so by rediscovering it through music and movement we release stress and restore balance.

nervous system regulation

The neuroscience backed method uses a variety of tempos focusing on the percussion throughout, starting slow and gradually speeding up, you will be guided through the method, using specific exercises at various points on the body proven to regulate the nervous system, release tension and emotion, promoting feelings of calm and presence.

Stress release

This musical journey helps you to
connect to your body's natural rhythm, offering an experience that promotes stress release and nervous system regulation and triggers the release of feel-good neurotransmitters and hormones, whilst giving you a workout suitable for all fitness levels!

Body based meditation

Starting at the feet and moving up the body in a specific sequence curated to the music, you’ll start to feel the impact that music has in relation to how your body naturally wants to move when we focus on the music.
